Shooting in the winter time has its challenges, but when your clients are a super driven power couple, nothing can get in your way! We’ve partnered up again with Hidden Grounds, but this time in Jersey City. Located right in the Historic District, the cafe shares its borders with a newly renovated luxury apartment complex: The Art House. With a smaller, more intimate feel, this Jersey City cafe features a more urban look, including concrete walls, brass accents, and a beautiful terrace shared with the Art House right next door. The location is perfect for a cozy winter engagement session, which is why we had to take advantage of the beautiful space! It happened to be snowing during our shoot, so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to get some gorgeous snow shots! Luckily, Brittany and Jake are originally from Syracuse, so braving the cold weather is a piece of cake for them. Check it out!

Brittany and Jake are the literal definition of a #powercouple. She works in the city for a well-known fashion brand while Jake’s office is right in Jersey City. They get to share each other’s company everyday when they travel in the same direction for work! Fun fact: “Cheers!” is the first thing Jake said to Brittany when they first met. Can somebody say #couplegoals? Jake popped the question during a seemingly inconspicuous apple picking session (while almost being interrupted by security guard…), and they couldn’t be more excited to be spending their lives together. As a couple, they love to do things appropriate for the season and consider themselves to be quite the foodies. Also, we have to mention how FIRE their outfit coordination was for their session, which isn’t surprising considering Brittany works for a fashion company! Brittney and Jake are planning their celebration back home in Syracuse in February of 2021.

Congratulations Brittany and Jake !
